Some cool vegetables
I went to the Seed Savers Exchange Conference in Decorah, Iowa last weekend and I got to see some really interesting plants. This was a huge, beautiful purple cabbage:
A crazy carrot that looked like it had legs coming up out of the ground:
Some giant okra - you can't tell, but each one of those pods was about five inches long and two to three inches wide.
Lima beans - it made me want to try growing them so I could taste what fresh lima beans taste like, as opposed to the frozen ones you get in veggie mixes.
Below is the largest kohlrabi I have ever seen in my life. I think it was about the size of my head.
The food at the conference was also excellent. I just had to take a picture of this particular meal.
