Stovetop Biscuits


My friend Leah shared this recipe with me when I lived in Mbale and I didn't have an oven.  Just for fun, even though I now have an oven, I tried them out again, but changed it up with some millet flour.


Ingredients:
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. millet flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix everything together, form into small, flattened circles about 1/2 inch thick, and cook on a hot skillet, flipping over a few times until each side is slightly browned.

They are very simple and satisfying if you have no oven and are craving bread!
