Tamarind

Last time we were in Uganda, I did a post about making Agua de Tamarindo, but I didn’t take photos of the entire process. 

Upon visiting the market in Soroti for the first time this year, I found tamarind being sold all over the place, so I bought some in order to make agua de tamarindo again.  This time I took pictures of all the steps so you can see how it goes from shelled pod to tart drink:
