Homemade fig newtons

They might not look like much, but these were great!  I had fun baking my own fig newtons, which are not available in Uganda (and which I haven't bought while in the US anytime recently anyway).  I thought they turned out quite authentically.  The recipe is here and her pictures are way more appetizing than mine...
