Homemade Granola

It is fun to make granola since you can kind of make up the recipe as you go. Mainly, I make it with mostly oats, then I mix in various chopped nuts, coconut, ground flaxseed, and wheat germ. Then, in a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup of oil (I used olive oil and it tasted great), 1/4 cup of honey, and a couple tablespoons of water. Mix that in with the other ingredients, and put it in a baking pan. If it seems too dry, you can add more oil, honey, and water in about the same proportion.

Bake it at 400F for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. When you take it out, you can mix in dried fruit (so the fruit doesn't get burned - I've made that mistake before) and let it cool.
